Mostly, my personal photography projects are an exploration of the social problem - sexual harassment.

By exposing the comments said from harassers to their targets, attention is drawn towards feelings of confusion, and the surreal emotions that can be felt in certain cases of harassment.

These emotions are unique and individual to each case and person. Understanding this, the work is left open to wonder and interpretation.

"I Have Not Worn Red Lipstick Since He Told Me That I Wore It To Be Noticed."

Is a project focused on surreal, documentary-styled portraits of 'victims' in their personal domestic spaces. The 'victims' also have their harassers comments painted on them in an activist tone of voice.

'The Secret Words of My Harasser'

Is a project I mainly made using a digital camera and a projector, this process brings the long-lasting issue issue of harassment into the modern world – away from the dated preconceptions that can still be seen in society today.

Words/sentences said by perpetrators that have mentally effected 'victims', are projected onto domestic spaces, showing the dark and lasting effects that seemingly 'nice' words have on the mental health of 'victims'.

By using this technique, and playing with text, light and darkness, a ‘dreamlike’ and mysterious atmosphere is created. This exposes the ‘blurred lines’ that can be apparent when attempting to recognise a situation of harassment.
